Question: I'm really digging your images, but I'd like to make some changes. Is that something you can do for me?
Answer: The best thing you can do is contact us with any questions! Depending on the timeframe, the changes you'd like made, and the time of year, we may or may not be able to make the requested changes. Of course, the more advance planning you can do, plus having a good idea of the changes you'd like and examples to refer to are always helpful. And in the instance of extensive changes, cash. Cash helps. Always. (For extensive editing, we may charge a small fee). Long story short, contact us; it never hurts to ask!
Question: What kinds of props do you recommend using with these backdrops?
Answer: It comes down to what kind of shoot you're doing, but there are some props you can use to help draw the subject(s) and viewer(s) into the environment. With tall backdrops that have a "floor" (more info on that here), you can use tables and chairs to "force" the backdrop's perspective to look more natural. You can also use lights to help force the perspective.
Question: Say I wanted a vague suggestion of a brick wall. Could you print that if I provided artwork?
Answer: You betcha! Here's something to consider though: printing a blurry background on purpose could make your work in post production more difficult than it needs to be. Generally, a sharp background gives you more options and is easier to work with; that's why our resident photographer suggests using sharp backgrounds when possible. So that leaves you with a sharp background that you want to blur. Good thing we happen to have a blog post about this exact thing! At the end of the day, it is your decision and your backdrop. You're the boss!
